Thai Massage in Chichester with Bodhi Tree Massage

What is Thai (Yoga) Massage?

Thai (Yoga) Massage traces its roots back over 2,500 years to Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, a physician to the Buddha. The practice was passed from teacher to student and refined across centuries through lived experience and hands-on wisdom.

In Thailand, massage is viewed as a natural part of everyday healthy living.

Unlike Western anatomical massage approaches, Thai (Yoga) Massage is rooted in traditional Thai medicine and works along energy pathways known as Sen lines. It integrates mindful movement, acupressure and breath to support balance across body and mind.

What can I expect from treatment?

Thai bodywork uses acupressure and assisted stretches to encourage the free flow of energy (Prana) through the body.

Eastern philosophy recognises that we are not just physical beings, but layered — emotional, mental and energetic as well as physical. Whether understood metaphorically or literally, this reflects the lived reality that stress, memory and emotion are held in the body.

Thai (Yoga) Massage combines therapeutic touch and mindful movement to:

• ease muscular tension
• support emotional balance
• improve flexibility and circulation
• reduce stress and fatigue
• restore a sense of embodied connection

Each session is slow, intentional and responsive to you.

What do I need to wear?

For Traditional Thai (Yoga) Massage:

• A soft t-shirt (no buttons)
• Leggings or loose trousers (not shorts)
• Thick socks (to keep warm)
• A soft sports bra (no underwire)

For Thai Oil Fusion Massage:

You will undress to underwear (bras removed). Towels are provided and your privacy is respected at all times.

For Top-Up and Targeted sessions:

Clothing guidance will depend on the area treated and will be confirmed when booking.

Cancellation & Late Arrival Policy

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

• Under 48 hours’ notice: 50% fee
• Under 24 hours’ notice: 75% fee
• Missed appointment without contact: full fee

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the session may need to be rescheduled in order to protect the quality of care and other clients’ appointments. In this case, a late cancellation fee may apply unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Thank you for respecting this policy — it protects both the therapeutic space and my livelihood.

Do I need to do anything prior to my arrival?

Once you have booked your initial massage you will be sent a new patient consultation form link. Please fill this out and e-mail it to me no later than 12 hours before your appointment.

Follow up appointments will not need a consultation form completed every time. However, you will be required to read/sign a brief set of T’s & C’s during follow up consultations and prior to the start of every treatment.

Consultations & Treatment Time

First Appointments

All new clients are required to have an initial consultation of up to 15 minutes (£10) before their first treatment. This gives us time to discuss your health history, individual needs and treatment goals, ensuring your treatment is safe and thoughtfully tailored to you.

The initial consultation is charged separately, so you’ll still receive the full duration of your booked treatment.

Returning Clients

Please arrive five minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for a brief check-in. This gives us an opportunity to discuss how you’ve been feeling, any changes since your last visit and what you’d like to focus on during your treatment.

Arriving five minutes early ensures your full treatment time is preserved. Otherwise, the check-in will form part of your booked appointment.

If you’d benefit from a longer consultation to discuss your needs, progress or treatment goals in more detail, please let me know when booking so additional time can be arranged.

Extended consultations are £10 for an additional 15 minutes, allowing your full treatment time to remain unaffected.

The Monthly Ritual Membership Terms

  • An initial standalone session is attended at the standard 90-minute rate of £89 before membership begins.
  • Membership requires a minimum commitment of three consecutive calendar months, with one 90-minute treatment each month at the Monthly Ritual rate of £84.
  • Payment is made via standing order on the 28th of every month.
  • The membership rate applies to one treatment per calendar month. Treatments cannot be carried forward or exchanged for credit.
  • If a treatment is not attended within its allocated calendar month, membership ends and future treatments revert to the standard 90-minute rate of £89. This does not remove the initial three-month payment commitment.
  • Individual appointment cancellations and rescheduling remain subject to the standard cancellation policy.
  • Exceptional circumstances, such as illness or injury, may be considered on an individual basis.
  • Following the initial three-month commitment, membership continues on a rolling monthly basis, subject to one calendar month’s written notice to cancel. Notice may be given during the initial commitment, but membership cannot end before the three months have been completed.

This structure exists to support consistency, rhythm and the gradual settling of the nervous system over time.

Journey Terms & Structure

If you test positive for Covid on the day of your treatment, you will not be charged for your missed appointment.

You are welcome to wear a face mask during your visit. If you would prefer that I wear one, please let me know on arrival.
