Thai Massage in Chichester with Bodhi Tree Massage

What is Thai (Yoga) Massage?

Thai (Yoga) Massage traces its roots back over 2,500 years to Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, a physician to the Buddha. The practice was passed from teacher to student and refined across centuries through lived experience and hands-on wisdom.

In Thailand, massage is viewed as a natural part of everyday healthy living.

Unlike Western anatomical massage approaches, Thai (Yoga) Massage is rooted in traditional Thai medicine and works along energy pathways known as Sen lines. It integrates mindful movement, acupressure and breath to support balance across body and mind.

What can I expect from treatment?

Thai bodywork uses acupressure and assisted stretches to encourage the free flow of energy (Prana) through the body.

Eastern philosophy recognises that we are not just physical beings, but layered — emotional, mental and energetic as well as physical. Whether understood metaphorically or literally, this reflects the lived reality that stress, memory and emotion are held in the body.

Thai (Yoga) Massage combines therapeutic touch and mindful movement to:

• ease muscular tension
• support emotional balance
• improve flexibility and circulation
• reduce stress and fatigue
• restore a sense of embodied connection

Each session is slow, intentional and responsive to you.

What do I need to wear?

For Traditional Thai (Yoga) Massage:

• A soft t-shirt (no buttons)
• Leggings or loose trousers (not shorts)
• Thick socks (to keep warm)
• A soft sports bra (no underwire)

For Thai Oil Fusion Massage:

You will undress to underwear (bras removed). Towels are provided and your privacy is respected at all times.

For Top-Up and Targeted sessions:

Clothing guidance will depend on the area treated and will be confirmed when booking.

Cancellation & Late Arrival Policy

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

• Under 48 hours’ notice: 50% fee
• Under 24 hours’ notice: 75% fee
• Missed appointment without contact: full fee

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the session may need to be rescheduled in order to protect the quality of care and other clients’ appointments. In this case, a late cancellation fee may apply unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Thank you for respecting this policy — it protects both the therapeutic space and my livelihood.

Do I need to do anything prior to my arrival?

Once you have booked your initial massage you will be sent a new patient consultation form link. Please fill this out and e-mail it to me no later than 12 hours before your appointment.

Follow up appointments will not need a consultation form completed every time. However, you will be required to read/sign a brief set of T’s & C’s during follow up consultations and prior to the start of every treatment.

Ongoing Care Membership Terms

Ongoing Care supports therapeutic continuity through a steady monthly rhythm of bodywork.

• An initial standalone session is attended at the standard 90-minute rate before membership begins.
• Following this, a commitment to three consecutive monthly sessions is required.
• Payment is made monthly via standing order.
• The agreed monthly amount must be received prior to each session.
• The membership rate applies when one session is attended each calendar month.
• If a calendar month is missed, membership ends and future sessions revert to the standard 90-minute rate.
• After the initial three membership months, sessions continue on a rolling monthly basis.
• Written notice is required before the next calendar month begins to cancel or pause membership.

This structure exists to support consistency, rhythm and the gradual settling of the nervous system over time.

Journey Terms & Structure

Journeys and Programmes are structured, time-bound therapeutic pathways and are therefore booked and paid for in advance.

• Payment is due in full prior to the first session unless an instalment plan has been agreed.
• Where instalments are offered, payments must be made on the agreed dates.
• Sessions are intended to be attended weekly or fortnightly, as agreed at the outset.
• 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a session.
• Missed sessions without notice cannot be refunded or transferred.
• Payments for Journeys are non-refundable once the series has begun, as space is reserved in advance.

If you are unsure about committing to a Journey, you are welcome to begin with a single session or establish Ongoing Care first.

We move at your pace.
