About Lottie
Founder of Bodhi Tree
Massage, Chichester
Bodhi Tree Massage was born from the meeting point between bodywork, mindfulness and creative reflection.
My name is Lottie, and I’m a fully insured, certified Thai Yoga Massage practitioner, poet and holistic facilitator based in Bosham, near Chichester, West Sussex.
My work is rooted in the belief that healing, restoration and clarity don’t happen through force — they happen through presence, gentleness and deep listening.
I offer slow, intentional Thai bodywork, Thai Oil Fusion massage, breath-led grounding, gentle somatic awareness and meditative reflection — designed to help people soften out of overwhelm, reconnect with their bodies and return to their natural rhythm.
My Bodywork Training & Professional Foundations
I trained in Traditional Thai Yoga Massage under the expert guidance of Marek Gabor of Jungle Healing, completing my diploma in January 2018.
Marek is one of the few authorised teachers of The Sunshine Network in the UK and is renowned for his responsive style, dedication and authenticity — qualities that deeply shaped my own therapeutic approach.
In 2019, I went on to complete Marek’s unique Thai Oil Fusion training, allowing me to blend traditional Thai techniques with therapeutic oils on the massage bed for a more meditative, nourishing experience.
Both qualifications are recognised by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).
I also completed Anatomy & Physiology for Alternative Medicine with The School of Health in 2019, giving me a deeper understanding of the structure of the body and how it functions.
I am a fully insured practitioner and an active member of the CMA (Complimentary Medical Association), committed to ongoing professional development and high standards of care.
My Creative & Mindfulness Path
Alongside bodywork, I hold a first-class Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Brighton.
I am a Sussex-based poet with a long-standing interest in mindfulness, meditation and the meeting point between creativity and well-being.
My poetry has been published in Streetcake Magazine, Crowstep Poetry Journal and anthologies such as From the Ashes: An International Anthology of Womxn’s Poetry (Animal Heart Press), to name a few. In 2024, my work was also displayed on Brighton & Hove Buses as part of a public poetry initiative, reaching people in the flow of everyday life.
For several years I wrote wellbeing-focused articles for Hamblin Vision Magazine, exploring themes of mindfulness, emotional health and personal growth.
This creative background deeply informs how I hold space in my sessions.
It’s why my work naturally integrates reflective writing, gentle inquiry and quiet inner listening alongside physical bodywork — not as therapy, but as a soft, supportive way of helping people reconnect with themselves.
Why Bodhi Tree Massage Feels Different
Every person is unique.
Every nervous system is different.
Every body tells its own story.
I don’t believe in rushed, one-size-fits-all treatments.
Instead, I take time to listen to your body, your energy and your emotional state on the day, shaping each session around what feels most supportive for you.
My approach is:
- slow and unhurried
- trauma-aware and consent-led
- grounded rather than performative
- deeply respectful of nervous-system safety
- guided by presence, not pressure
Sessions may include breath-led settling, gentle somatic awareness, Thai bodywork, meditative pacing and optional reflective practices — always offered as invitations rather than demands.
Nothing is forced.
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is “done to” you.
Everything unfolds at your pace, in your own time, in a way that honours your body’s wisdom and your nervous system’s needs.
My Philosophy
At the heart of my work is a simple intention:
To create a quiet, held space where people can soften, breathe, feel and return to themselves.
I draw inspiration from:
- Thai healing traditions
- Buddhist philosophy
- mindfulness practice
- somatic awareness
- creative reflection
- embodied presence
I don’t offer trauma therapy or psychological treatment.
What I do offer is something gentler:
A calm, grounded, embodied experience that supports relaxation, nervous-system regulation, emotional clarity and a deeper sense of inner connection.
